To be together is dangerous. To stay apart is impossible.
Firefighter Jasmine Mackinnon has always just been one of the guys. So no one’s more shocked than she is to find herself kissing fellow firefighter and all-around sinfully handsome playboy Aaron Parkes after a friend’s wedding. Jasmine knows she can’t risk an emotional connection with a colleague—a potentially dangerous entanglement when fighting fires together—and nothing’s more important to her than her job.
Aaron never noticed how beautiful Jasmine was until he saw her out of her firefighter duds, but there’s something about the fiery woman that tempts him. Though he knows pursuing a real relationship is out of the question for a serial dater like him, when their casual flirtation builds into something more serious, it’s not just their jobs or their safety on the line. It’s their hearts.
What woman doesn’t love a story about a HOT firefighter. This one just happens to be about co-workers who find their way into each other’s hearts.
Jasmine “Mac” Mackinnon and Aaron Parkes have worked for the same Fire Department for years. But Mac was considered one of the guys. That was until sh... ...more
I received this an an ARC and I have to admit that I accidentally inhaled this book in one sitting. This is a light, fun, perfect poolside, beach or when you just want a really good read book.
Jasmine and Aaron sucked me in from the very first page and didn't let go till I was finished. I loved t... ...more
Flirting with Danger by Claire Baxter is a must-read. Jasmine (Mac) and Aaron are two of the best drawn characters in recent memory. This is a sweet read with sexual tension, but only steamy kisses and near misses. Where the book excels, and earns its very high marks, are in the exchanges between... ...more
In Flirting With Danger by Claire Baxter, Jasmine does everything she can to downplay her feminine side. Jasmine is a fire fighter, so she works with a lot of men and is just 'one of the guys' - which is how she likes it. Jasmine hasn't been in a relationship for a while. Since finding out her ex... ...more
I always love stories where people who have been "friends" or known each other for a long time don't have romantic feelings for one another, however, after an event of some sort (and in this case a wedding) things change. Jasmine is a firewoman and pretty much wears her hair in a pony tale and do... ...more
“If I find a man to love me as I am, then great. But I’m not going to pretend to be something I’m not.”–-Jasmine
Weddings are trouble. Just ask Jasmine and Aaron, two firefighters on the same team. In their job, they depend on each other and the other team members to stay safe and alive. Trusting... ...more

We all know how much I love the Bliss line for it's happy sappy romance. Well, Claire Baxter's Flirting with Danger is no exception. Yes, this story will warm your heart and fill it with ooey-gooey goodness.
In Flirting with Danger, we meet Jasmine Mackinnon who has alwa... ...more
Full review on my blog, Becky on Books.
Firefighters. Set in Australia. Throw in that awesome cover (yeah, yeah, I know. But we all do judge, and you know it!), and seriously, what’s not to love here?
Flirting with Danger is the first book I’ve read by Claire Baxter, but it definitely won’t be my l... ...more
I make no secret of Bliss books being a staple requirement in my literary diet. Flirting with Danger is another great addition to the family. With lovely characters, witty banter, humour, romance, heartwarming moments balanced with those that pull on the heartstrings and not to mention a man in u... ...more
I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. When I started this book I was in a book burnout. Nothing sounded good. I had actually planned on revisiting an old book to get me out of it. Then I read the blurb and thought I'd read the 1st chapter and see where that left me. Rea... ...more
Flirting with Danger is a nicely written, sweet romance with an engaging storyline. The two main characters, firefighters Jasmine Mackinnon and Aaron Parkes are likable and interesting. Both have a lot of emotional baggage that they need to work through in order to form a lasting, loving relation... ...more
"Life was passing her by, and if she didn't do something about it soon, it would be gone before she'd screwed up the courage to get on board."

Flirting with Danger by Claire Baxter is another great book published by Entangled Bliss. I simply love that the story was emotionally engaging. Flirting with Danger was the perfect title for this novel. Jasmine& Aaron were two people, firefighters, who were dealing with fears. Both Aaron and... ...more
Gracious! Such a sweet romance that I couldn't put down. Jasmine and Aaron are a delightful couple and I had such a great time experiencing their gradual romance. It's nice to read about a more masculine woman for a change! Jasmine is really one of the guys, and although she has her girly moments... ...more
This was a good romance. I liked that Jasmine and Aaron were attracted to each other, but fought that attraction. The reasons they both have are sound and practical, but in the end just meant to keep others away from their hearts. Early on there's a shift to their relationship that they both try... ...more
Entangled’s Bliss line has no overt sex in it – more of a ”door closes, fade to black” kind of thing – but in this edition there is no sex at all which I found charming. It’s a modern story, about modern people, but the author didn’t feel the need to have them jumping into bed together. Don’t get... ...more
This is a story about two firefighters who are perfect for each other, even though they might not think so. This is a fun summer quick read. It is nice to read a book not full of sex. Will read many more Bliss books ...more
This was a really cute story by new to me author, Claire Baxter. The hero and heroine were like oil and water, until she underwent a mini makeover for a friend's wedding. Gone was the tomboy and out came a woman with movie star looks. Of course all her male colleagues took notice, one in particul... ...more
It's been some time since I've had the pleasure of reading a book with sexy firefighting men and women battling dangerous situations and falling in love. I'm so glad I ended my drought with FLIRTING WITH DANGER. It's a little bit cliche and a lot of fun. Grab a glass of wine, put your tired feet... ...more

This was a really sweet read, with steamy kisses, a gorgeous hero and beautiful heroine. I loved all the interplay between the characters, and the build up to their happily ever after. I love a good firefighter romance, especially when it is both the hero and heroine in that role.
Very much enjoyed this offering from Claire Baxter. It's always nice to read stories set in Australia, and in places other than Sydney or Melbourne.
