The Christmas they didn’t expect…
It’s a week before Christmas, and music teacher Holly Jones just got dumped. The funny—yet totally sad—thing? She’s more outraged that her ex ran off with all of the mince pies than the fact he found “the one.” So when she stumbles into an unexpected invitation to join the oh-so-charming science teacher on his Scottish retreat, she figures what better way to kick the holiday blues?
Ever since his wife died on Christmas Eve three years ago, Noel Coward’s spent the holiday sequestered in a cabin, drunk and alone. But when he overhears Holly’s predicament, he figures she needs the solitude almost as much as he does. Except, there’s nothing solitary about their time together—especially not the innocent kiss that flares into much, much more.
Noel is everything Holly thought she’d never have. And as the snow piles up around their cabin, he’ll question whether Holly is the present that’ll finally mend his heart…
"Holly's First Noel is a sweet, contemporary romance, with humor and just enough steam to make it a great all around read." ~ Guilty Pleasures Book Reviews
Holly's First Noel is a hilarious, flirtatious Christmas romantic comedy. Every element I look for and love in a book is here in this story, put together in a way that had me smiling at every page, laughing out loud more times than I can count, and wishing my science teachers had been half as sex... ...more

I really enjoyed both Holly and Noel. Even though they had worked together for the past year, they both steered clear of the other, Holly being intimidated by Noel and Noel not sure what to make of Holly. But once those barriers were down, they were absolutely perfect for each other.

It's right before Christmas and Noel is someone who knows about heartbreak. He lo... ...more
This is one of those stories that is so well done that you finish reading it wishing there were more pages in the book and thinking that your relationship is crap, no matter how great your relationship really is.

I loved this novella because the characters were so well-developed. One minute, your heart was breaking for them and the next you were laughing along with them. Noel's story was enough to make you weep--especially fully-realized as his character was. I swear this almost read as non-fiction the ch... ...more

That hit the spot this morning. Loved the sweet romance and the underlying heat between the Science teacher and Music teacher. They just suited each other down to the bone. *snicker* That too. Who knew tweed could cover up such a lovely and mercifully manly set of...well, everything.

Holly's First Noel is a funny, sweet, romantic Christmas story set in Scotland - a lovely little bit of escapism, with a hot, slightly geeky high school science teacher. What more could you ask for in an Xmas novella? Nothing! ...more
I really loved this. Having lived in England for many years, I appreciated the small cultural details- beans on toast and dreaded Christmas dinners! I liked both characters- both their wit and charm. It is a well told conventional romance that was laugh out loud funny as well as warm and fuzzy. ...more
