It’s Valentine’s Day, and food critic Claudia Thomas just got ditched by her boyfriend. It wasn’t exactly passionate love, but a decent dinner companion is hard to find, especially when Claudia has reservations at one of London’s most prestigious new restaurants. Now she’s eating alone. Little does she know that super-sexy chef Ward Nicholls has a menu designed just for her…

When he see Claudia sitting alone on Valentine’s Day, Ward knows he needs to prepare something special. Something decadent, designed to tease the senses and pleasure the palate. His plan is to slowly entice Claudia, course by course, topped by a dessert she won’t everforget. But Claudia has a secret she’s been hiding…and admitting the truth could sour Ward’s sweet seduction.

This has some of the most mouth-watering descriptions of food I have ever seen in romance. The food shines in this is sensual, thoughtful, inspired. As always, Clarke's writing is lush and descriptive.

I really liked the premise for the romance, too..."secret" food critic and hunky chef.... ...more

Table for One is delicious. Prepare to be seduced...

Decadent food + sexy, what's not to like?

Claudia's boyfriend, Andrew, breaks up with her on Valentine's Day, the jerk. Of all days, he chooses Valentine's to end their relationship, or what's left of it anyway. After both agree being in each ot... ...more

My Thoughts: One tends to be sceptic when they see that a story is only 52 pages long, wondering how anyone could tell a good story with a beginning and an end, developed characters, detailed and rich writing, in short a riveting and enchanting story that doesn't leave the reader unsatisfied? Wel... ...more

This is the third short contemporary romance novella I have read by Entangled Publishing and I don't think I could ever get bored of them. Maybe it's the hopeless romantic in me but man did I enjoy this book. It involved my favourite things, romance, a hot guy and food. Seriously could you get an... ...more

My Review:
TABLE FOR ONE was sexy. There's something about a seduction via a really good meal, and I loved the set-up for Claudia and Ward's relationship. Going into the reading I knew that this was going to be a novella, and that it would probably be quite ti... ...more

This short, sexy romp is a perfect appetizer for your next romantic read. It also works well as a sort of palate refresher between novel-length reads, giving you a fun story with a unique premise--but without the commitment.

The only critique I have is that I wish I'd gotten more background on Cla... ...more

I should know better than to read a book about food and cooking while I'm dieting. The author was brilliant at drawing you in and getting you to salivate over the food and the leading man. The details on the dishes he prepared for her! Oh, wow, all the descriptions of food... so good. Of course t... ...more

This was delicious, literally! Actually, it was a loan from a friend. Read the whole thing on the treadmill, so it's novella-length. Very romantic, very flirty, with a great hero and heroine that I really enjoyed. Throw in the foodie element and it was great fun! I'll be looking for more books by... ...more

I flew through this novella. It's sweet and sexy and pretty much everything I was looking for in a romantic novella. I would have loved to spend more time with these two characters as I felt like I was just getting to know them. :) ...more

About the author

Ros Clarke

Ros is a writer, a church worker, a crafter, a blogger, a twitterer, a lazy gardener, and an appalling housekeeper. She lives in a sixteenth century shed in England and is very glad that it has twenty-first century plumbing. She is interested in almost everything except cricket and football (US and UK) and mostly she likes happy endings in fiction and in real life. Ros has been writing stories for as long as she can remember, never dreaming that other people would be interested in reading them. A few years ago, she discovered a writing forum on the internet, and has never looked back. Her head and her hard drive are full of ideas for fresh, fun, contemporary romances that she hopes you'll love as much as she does.
