When filmmaker Christian Monroe runs into fiery—and frustrating—Elise Templeton at a party, the night quickly becomes the hottest one-night stand of their lives. But then her boss hires Christian to make a publicity film about Elise, and suddenly they’re in each other’s space. All day.
Every day. And things are getting hotter

Outside the bedroom, the two have nothing in common. Elise is focused solely on becoming the NBA’s first female general manager. And Christian learned long ago that being a work-a-holic—or being with one—is a recipe for disaster.

But the more Elise reveals her deepest desires and fears to Christian—something she’s done for no man, ever—the more Christian wonders how much longer he can keep his hands off the infuriating woman who rocked his world…

A very interesting fun read. What starts out with the cheesiest pick up line ever quickly turns into a real attraction and what was meant to be one night of fun. Although Christian is great, when Elise realizes she and Christian will be working together, she knows she has to put a halt to everything ...more

Great story! I loved Elise's determination to be the best female GM of the Dallas Stampede basketball team. But way too many obstacles in her way. The biggest one is her Dad. He means well but he needs to back off! But will Elise's quest for success end her relationship with Christian, the "perfect" ...more

This booked kicked off with a bang. Especially because the book before was a little milder, but I liked the balance. I liked the story and how the characters balanced each other out. Overall the whole series was great. I would actually like more. ...more

So if you’ve read the second novel in the One-on-One series you will know who Elise and Christian is. You’ll also understand when I say I already loved Christian before diving into The Deal With Love and when I say I wasn’t so sure about Elise. My perspective of Elise changed in a heartbeat once I d ...more

ARC Review: The Deal With Love (One on One) by Jamie Wesley

The Deal with Love holds a special place in my heart. The romance was heated but was not the big draw for me. Elise was. Being a woman in what is thought of as a man's world is hard for anyone BUT, when trying to break into the NBA and manag ...more

This is about seeing the true identity through a lens. Christian broke down Elise defenses while filming her but he also broke down his own. It was the true chemistry in which they both had for one another that made them a power couple "scratching an itch". They complimented and enhanced each other ...more

The author stated in the blurb that this is book number three in the one-on-one series that she's created, and that it's a standalone book. I had no trouble following this book at all. It is it's own book. The author mentioned previous characters, but it ...more

Two great tale

The two stories running concurrently with the other events in the tale gave me drivel drones. I wanted to hover over Elise's dad and tell him to stop. In the story, he appointed her GM for the team he owned and then, proceeded to be a nuisance to her. Going so far as to choose things f ...more

This was a good story.

About the author

Jamie Wesley

Jamie Wesley has been reading romance novels since she was about 12 when her mother left a romance novel, which a friend had given her, on the nightstand. Jamie read it instead, and the rest is history. She started her first manuscript, a contemporary romance, after she graduated from Northwestern University in 2002 and couldn't find a job. Life got in the way as it often does, i.e. she found a job, and she didn't finish the story. However, she never forgot about it and finally got serious about completing it in 2009. She's been writing ever since. Jamie holds a master's degree in sport management (yes, that's a real thing :-) ) from the University of Texas at Austin, so it probably comes as no surprise that she loves sports and spends an inordinate amount of time rooting for her hometown Dallas's pro sports teams and her alma maters. She also adores Walt Disney World, shopping, and pop culture. Want to know if your favorite TV show is going to be canceled or what the newest Disney attraction is? Ask Jamie. She'll probably know the answer.
