There’s nothing On Top managing editor Cynthia “Starr” Starling hates more than Christmas. With an important deadline looming, plus her dreaded Christmas Day birthday, Starr just wants the holiday to end. But when she wakes up Christmas Eve night to the ghost of Christmas Past, Present, and Future—all in the form of the super-hot Matt Landry, the new art director—she knows she’s in for a long night.

Matt is the one person on Starr’s team she can’t boss around and the only one she doesn’t need to. He’s also her employee and totally off limits, even if he does seem interested. Though he’s seven years younger and all kinds of forbidden fruit, he’s the form the Powers That Be decided she’d be receptive to.

Because they have a message for her: learn the true meaning of Christmas spirit or risk being alone for the rest of her life.

Christmas time always brings the crazy out of everyone. People get moody and become grinches. For Starr she has it all but she hates Christmas time. Not only is it her birthday but she hates everything about it. To make matters worse she has a new art director that she is hot for Matt and she kno... ...more

A Cinderella Christmas Carol is a holiday novella in the Suddenly Cinderella series by Hope Tarr. I haven't yet read the first book in the series, Operation Cinderella, but I plan to now! This novella is centered around Starr who is all about work and not a lot about fun. Starr is cast as the Scr... ...more

I loved Starr's story! It's great to see a Scrooge melt and fall in love, and see the ripple effects on other characters. Definitely a cute, love filled novella for the holiday season! ...more

Cute

Cute quick Christmas read. Really enjoyed Matt and Starr's connection in both the spirit and real life. I would've given this 5 stars but it was a bit too short. I would've enjoyed a little more build up of the characters. Would still recommend this book for anyone with an hour to sit in...

A Cinderella Christmas Carol is a fun new twist to the classic Christmas Carol, but with romance of course. ;)

If you read the first book in this series (Operation Cinderella) you already know Starr and how much of a Scrooge she is. But if you haven’t don’t worry you can read it later... ...more

A Cinderella Christmas Carol is without a doubt a fun twist on a Christmas Classic.

Cynthia Starling (Starr) would definitely fit the part of Scrooge, yet she probably doesn't see herself that way. With the help of a spirit guide who is in the image of Matt Landr...

This was an interesting twist on A Christmas Carol. Same premise: Christmas past, present and future is shown to a somewhat bitter (putting it mildly) Starr on Christmas Eve. The twist comes in the form of a ghost who looks just like Matt Landry, the magazine art director Starr can't stop thinkin... ...more

I have really come to like this series the first book Operation Cinderella and even though this is a short novella it didn’t lack anything, for me, a great Christmas read with a new twist on Scrooge.

This was a cute short Christmas novella that I picked up for free as a Goodreads Deal. I always enjoy fairy tale retellings and remakes of classic stories, and this one hangs pretty close to the original "A Christmas Carol" with our MC Star in the role of Scrooge and the three ghosts of Christmas... ...more

Cynthia “Starr” Starling has a reputation with her employees and it’s not a good one. It gets worse around Christmas time since she has a Christmas Day birthday. It makes her hate the holiday even more.

To top it all off, she finds herself attracted to one of her employees, Matt Landry... ...more

I very much I loved the first story in Hope Tarr's brand new Suddenly Cinderella series (Operation Cinderella was one of my favourite reads of 2012), so when I heard that there will be a special holiday novella in the series I couldn't have been happier and more excited!
