The God of War is about to discover love…
At the wedding of two Greek gods, Kaye Underhill is the only mortal in a sea of scantily clad nymphs and fickle satyrs. And worse — she’s dateless. The only bright side is the hot, muscled hunkiness of the God of War, who’s seated next to her. But there’s no way Kaye could ever grab a god’s attention… Is there?
Ares is in big trouble. A vengeful witch curses him, and the first person he touches will steal his strengths, while he receives their weaknesses. When Kaye trips, Ares catches her and poof! His powers disappear, and Kaye suddenly has the strength and coordination of a Greek god. To break the curse and regain his powers, Ares must get Kaye to fall in love with him.
But for the god who makes war, making love presents a whole new set of problems…
This was quite an unexpected story about Ares the god of War losing his powers and was much lighter in tone than I anticipated . I went into this expecting the usual romance with a Greek God as the hero but found myself a little unsettled by the obvious fact that all the events here are preceded... ...more
This is first time in reading anything this author had to write. the title and the blurb caught my eye and picked my curiosity. Found it to be a delightful mix of fantasy and humor with characters that were easy to like. I so loved that a mere mortal would be such a challenge to one such as Ares... ...more
This was a great story! I have read a couple of romance books featuring the Gods, but this one was really fun! Ares and Kaye meet at the wedding of her best friend who is a God. The wedding was definitely different than your usual banquet hall and rubber chicken dish. Ares is the victim of retrib... ...more
This was an amusing story from the Covet line. I loved seeing Ares, always graceful and coordinated, reduced to being klutzy. The gradual increase in those traits in Kaye was awesome, especially with her growing love of swordplay and war movies.
The bigger story though was seeing Ares grow up (whi... ...more
A curse will turn Kaye's and Ares' worlds around in Aubrie Dionne's Ares' Temptation. When Hekate curses the God of War, only love can give him his powers back. I'm a sucker for Greek myths, and I loved seeing the softer side to Ares. Kaye is a sweet yet clumsy mortal who really needed Ares' boos... ...more
This was a quick, cute read that’s plenty of fun as it mixes one clumsy mortal with the God of War, adds in a curse and messes with both their heads and hearts. Kaye is the only mortal at a divine wedding, but that doesn’t stop her from trying to make the best of things. When that includes being... ...more
Ares has been cursed by a powerful witch and mortal Kaye Underhill has been caught in the middle. To break the curse Ares must get Kaye to fall in love with him but making love instead of war presents a whole new set of problems in this delightful paranormal romance.
Kaye is the only mortal at the... ...more
So I haven't read this author yet, but I'm told some of the characters come from Pan's Conquest. I haven't read it, so I don't know much about it. But this is a stand alone and I liked this one a lot, so I may have to try Pan's Conquest :) And the mythology is so much fun!
I don't know that much a... ...more

This was a great riff on a Greek tale. This is a standalone tale about Aries, the God of War and mortal, Kaye Underhill.
Kaye is at a wedding of two Greek gods when she crosses paths with Aries. Aries has been cursed by Hekate... ...more
Ares, god of War, is cursed by a witch at a wedding. In order for him to break the curse, he needs to have mortal, Kaye Underhill, fall in love with him.
Ares' Temptation is a charming novel. I enjoy contemporary mythology stories, and this one was well-done.
Kaye is a worthy heroine. She is genuin... ...more
The worst thing that can happen to you if you are a god is lose your powers when you piss off a witch. Well that's exactly what happens to Ares, the God of War.
When Ares kills Hecate's brother, she vows revenge, so like any good witch, she curses him. The next person Ares touches will gain all hi... ...more
How could I not love the main character Kaye? I might be a little impartial since my name is Kae. Anyway she is just downright loveable, clumsy and hilarious. She is at a wedding. Not just any wedding mind you but, a wedding of two Greek gods, one who just happens to be her best friend. Unfortuna... ...more
Ares that boy humored me, "seeing as though you do not have a...date, let us continue our disclosure on warfare and peace." Kaye you upset her that girl holds a vengeance well not really but she gets heartbroken which means I was heartbroken, "go!" If his people really were under an attack, then... ...more
This was a fun book. Ares the God of War finds him self struck with a curse and looses all his powers, and the only way to get them back is to make the young woman who now has them, a mortal, fall in love with him. The added bonus is he now has her clumsy two left feet and hands.
I loved the stor... ...more
I loved this book and it had to do with the heroine Kaye. She's a lovable relatable character. Ares comes off as a gruff no time for mortals kind of guy, but thanks to a curse he now has to make time for a certain mortal. Ares needs to learn from his ways because he's going down a destructive pat... ...more
A delightful read that grabs readers from the start. Ares' and Kaye are central to the story from their first introduction that was hilariously entertaining :D . A strong story and an enchanting, feel good read that even features characters from Aubrie Dionne's other title, Pan's Conquest.

Fun. Kept my rapt attention and world building right up my alley!
Ares’ Temptation had me at hello. Or if we are being completely transparent, it had me at the veiny muscley hot cover and then had me again with the cheeky blurb. By the time I read the first few pages, I had a feeling I would be in... ...more

I tend to gravitate towards books having to do with Mythology, so when I saw that this was about the God of War, I had to read.
Kaye Underhill is at the wedding of two Greek God's, her friend String and Pan from another book Pan's Conquest, and is also the only mortal in the room. This would be da... ...more
Who knew the God of War had a sweet side?
When the God of War has his powers swapped for the weaknesses of human, Kaye Underhill, things couldn't get much worse. Ares can't tell the formerly clumsy Kaye that the reason she's suddenly strong and agile is because she got his powers thanks to a curse... ...more
This was an interesting little read.
In ARES' TEMPTATION, the world of the Gods meets everyday mortal world; not only that, but everyday mortals have met and coexist beside these gods and goddesses.

Ares’ Temptation is a lot of fun – I really enjoyed the idea of gods in our world, especially one who is without his powers. My only complaint is that it didn’t seem like enough time was spent having Ares learn from his time being powerless. He does and we see it to a certain degree but I think m... ...more
Greek gods - wow!! This is definitely different in a very good way! The son of Zeus, Ares, is also the totally alpha god of War.
