When former con artist Eleanor Ames’s homecoming date commits suicide, she’s positive there’s something more going on. The more questions she asks, though, the more she crosses paths with Miles Beckett. He’s sexy, mysterious, arrogant…and he’s asking all the same questions.
Eleanor might not trust him – she doesn’t even like him – but they can’t keep their hands off of each other. Fighting the infuriating attraction is almost as hard as ignoring the fact that Miles isn’t telling her the truth…and that there’s a good chance he could be the killer.

Julie cross is quite easily becoming one of my favourite authors. Chasing Truth is my 3rd book by her and it was really good. Now is the time to read this book as the sequel Hiding lies is out in April 2018.

This is a long(er) book for a YA novel, but it was so good that I dropped everything I had to do, or at least pushed it aside until later, to read this novel in pretty close to one sitting. It's so compelling and the story keeps you guessing (and turning pages) well beyond the normal amount of time. ...more
Every time I think I’m getting too old for YA, a book like this sucks me in. I was hesitant the first few pages when our main character, Ellie, waxes poetic about the new boy next door, Miles. But once that finished, a fun, fast-paced, twisty little YA mystery began. It reminded me a bit of Jennifer ...more

I really love Julie Cross’s writing so I was super excited to see that she was writing a mystery, suspense YA series! First of all, you have to know that I am obsessed with crime and suspense stories. I could watch Investigation Discovery 24/7… Dateline, I think I’ve seen every episode. I ...more
I love crime shows. My mom and I are either bingeing a new drama on Netflix or watching episodes of Elementary on Hulu. This was a combination of both.

As soon as I saw the possible hate-to-love vibe from the synopsis I immediately went searching and picked up the book.

Eleanor goes to school with the rich kids, but she isn't one of them. She's magnificent at pretending though. At Holden Prep many of the students are keeping secrets.
