Erin O'Mara is a goodie girl (in 1920s slang a WET BLANKET) who went from middle class music stident to poor orphan & just keeps her head above water with her sales job at a department store. Her BFF Abby Harrison is a Richey rich who also lives on the edge of the law with speakeasy hopping,... ...more

This 78 page novella was sweet and charming. It was full of 1920s "lingo" which made it rather fun. Some of the sayings I had heard before, and some were new to me.

Erin has had a hard life, but she's persevering. She's got a job in a department store, or at least she had one before being picked... ...more

3.5 stars = I liked it. The time period is what attracted me to this kindle cheapie novella - I like the 20's flapper speakeasy period.
In Erin's Gift, department store clerk Erin is talked into a night out with her wealthy friends, Abby and Will, who take her to a speakeasy which gets raided -la... ...more

This 1920's Christmas story is sweet. Erin, a middle class violinist falls for her best friend's brother. Seth, a widower raising his four year son. I hope to find a story of Abbey's life, she's a great secondary character.

Nancy Fraser constructed a good plot within 78 pages. The flapper period... ...more

This delightful story is set in the era of the 1920's and features Erin, a shop girl and Seth, her best friend's brother. Seth is a widowed lawyer who requires a nanny for his young son and circumstances ensue that result in Erin taking over that position. Their close proximity leads to feelings... ...more

This is a very sweet historical romance. The characters were very captivating and Seth's son is absolutely adorable. The 1920's is sadly neglected (or I just can't find them) in historical romance and it is such an interesting era. We get to see quite a few different sides of this period, from a... ...more

"Erin's Gift" by Nancy Fraser was a freebie from Entangled Scandalous and was a quick but entertaining read. The story revolves around Erin O'Mara, a young woman whose ordinary and stable life is changed after a night out with her best friends, and Seth Harrison, a lawyer and brother of Abby, Eri... ...more

I love this book. It couldn't be titled any better!. Erin is the picture of innocence. You rarely meet someone this simple and endearing in life. Seth is hot and so caring. I love his character. The sexual tension between Erin and Seth is described very well. It is steamy and sexy. There is not a... ...more

A nice book to read before bedtime. I liked how Erin was so totally different from her friend's Abby and Will, yet they were good friends. Add in the fact that Abby and Will were always getting in trouble, and needing the help of Abby's brother Seth, Erin didn't stand a chance. It was so nice to... ...more

I don't usually read books set in the 1920's. That era, with it's speakeasies and flappers, is not one that I generally like to read. Nevertheless, I decided to give this little short story a try. I'm really glad I did, because I found it to be truly enjoyable. It's very nicely written, and consi... ...more

An enjoyable romance set in the 1920’s
A short story, but a great story! I enjoyed reading how Seth and Erin find what they need in each other. Erin, friends with Seth’s little sister, is actually quite innocent. And Seth has to get her out of trouble, when his sister gets her there! She did thing... ...more

About the author

Nancy Fraser

Like most authors, Nancy Fraser began writing at an early age, usually on the walls and with crayons or, heaven forbid, permanent markers. Her love of writing often made her the English teacher's pet, which, of course, resulted in a whole lot of teasing. Still, it was worth it. When not writing (which is almost never), Nancy dotes on her five beautiful grandchildren and looks forward to traveling and reading when time permits. Nancy lives in Atlantic Canada where she enjoys the relaxed pace and colorful people.
