Peek Inside His Heart's Revenge

Twenty years ago, I was too smart and too poor to be cool. Now I’m laughing my way to the bank—the bank I’m CEO of. Nothing can touch me. Except maybe him. We met at summer camp. We made out under the stars. Then he stabbed me in the back. They say revenge is a dish best served cold. But I’m gonna go with hot.

Alexander Evangelista is a millionaire with all the trappings: houses all over the world and hot guys lined up whenever he’s in need of some no-strings-attached company. He’s on his way to world domination.

A CEO in his own right, Cary Bell is competing for a major client with his boyhood crush. He’s never forgiven himself for betraying Alex. But with his professional reputation on the line, he’s going to have to find his inner cutthroat if he wants his new company to succeed.

Alex isn’t about to let his nemesis steal a client out from under him. It’s time to break Cary’s company—and his heart.

"The tension in Alex and Cary was phenomenal and kept me engaged. The more they tried to keep each other at arms length the closer they became. It was a fun banter and a sexual tension that could not be matched by another other before they were forced face to face again. The struggle was real but the truth revealed was what will steal your heart." -Mayas, NetGalley

"I didn't expect the tears! Mine, I mean!" -Maria, Goodreads

"The characters are great, you do truly feel how much they love each other and how that one event really impacted their lives both past and present. I would definitely recommend this book and read others by the same author!" -Misty, NetGalley

His Hearts Revenge is Jenny Holidays fourth story in her 49th Floor series and her first foray into the world of m/m romance. Cary Bell is a cousin to Marcus (hero of book 3, The Engagement Game). This was quite cute, with a childhood-friends-to-rivals-to-lovers setup and fun banter. I think this did have some of the same sort of pacing issues I've seen in other books by this author but I still enjoyed it despite that. ...more

I received an eARC, from NetGalley and the publisher, in exchange for an honest review.

-reminded me of Him by Sarina Bowen/Elle Kennedy
-loved the camp scene flashbacks
-love the tropes: rivals to lovers, second chance at love, and youth romance being rekindled as adults

Another wonderful book from Jenny Holiday, honestly she can do no wrong in my eyes.

Gah! I'm a little torn on how I want to rate this one. I loved, loved, loved the story! This was such a fun, sexy read! Jenny Holiday's writing style is quick and vivacious which works so well for my current mood. The teen years are fraught with angst and anxiety. If you are not part of the cool crowd - if you stick out just a little, you are forever doomed, it seems. There's a lot that's good about this story, and I certainly don't regret reading it, particularly the way that the major conflict exploded. That was far better than I'd feared.

Jenny Holiday

Jenny Holiday started writing in fourth grade, when her awesome hippie teacher, between sessions of Pete Seeger singing and anti-nuclear power plant letter writing, gave the kids notebooks and told them to write stories. Most of Jenny's featured poltergeist, alien invasions, or serial killers who managed to murder everyone except her and her mom. She showed early promise as a romance writer, though, because nearly every story had a happy ending: fictional Jenny woke up to find that the story had been a dream, and that her best friend, father, and sister had not, in fact, been axe-murdered. From then on, she was always writing, often in her diary, where she liked to decorate her declarations of existential angst with nail polish teardrops. Eventually she channelled her penchant for scribbling into a more useful format. After picking up a PhD in urban geography, she became a professional writer, and has spent many years promoting research at a major university, which allows her to become an armchair astronomer/historian/particle physicist, depending on the day. Eventually, she decided to try her hand again at happy endings--minus the bloodbaths. You can follow her twitter accounts @jennyholi and @TropeHeroine or visit her on the web at
