All kindergarten teacher Peyton Pearson wants is a nice, quiet life. Unfortunately, quiet isn’t something she’s had a lot of after tainted medicine turns her into a superhero. She’s single, and saving the city from criminals—which is increasingly dangerous as the anti-superhero movement in St. Louis gains traction. Then there’s her hot next door neighbor who makes her think super-dirty thoughts, and has no idea who she really is.
Police officer Dylan Wilson is trying to make the world safe by working to unmask all superheroes. When his sexy neighbor, Peyton, is evicted, Dylan offers her his spare room, unknowingly opening his home—and his heart—to the city’s most reluctant superhero.
Can love survive when the masks come off?

A little fact: Less than a fifth of superheroes are female (in the media that is). Superheroines are underrepresented, so when I saw the title of this book, my inner Wonder Woman donned her tiara, indestructible bracelets and did a happy dance.

I've read and loved Patricia Eimer's Speak of the Devil series, so when I saw that she was starting up a superhero series, I was ready to grab it. This is a fabulous start to that series.

A fun and cute read! There's also an important message in here about tolerance and prejudice, but on the whole this novel doesn't take itself too seriously, which is good. Superhero books need to be campy and fun. Throw a hot cop into the mix, and hey, you're golden ;)

Fantasticly super without being too cliched.
With the popularity of superheroes moving from being mostly in comics to both the big and small screen it should come as no surprise that here and there you can find a fun book featuring them too. I'll admit it... I freaking LOVE superhero romances. Th... ...more

The title alone was intriguing enough for me to pick this little tidbit and crack it open to see exactly all the secrets inside. It is not often superheros are used as a theme in novels in romance because comics and such seem to have the market on them so it makes this even more fun to read. All... ...more
Peyton's just trying to live a normal and quiet life. This was a really fun read, and let's face it who doesn't love superheroes! Even better though is that this book centres around a superheroine (with several others as minor characters). There are male superheroes in the book, and I liked that the main one was characterised in the way he was, basi... ...more

I am a lover of all things superhero: The Avengers, Ironman, Captain America, Thor, TMNT, Guardians of the Galaxy, etc. And this book is no exception. It was cute, sweet, funny, exciting and a little suspenseful. Peyton was pure gold as Fantastigirl (cool superheroine name!). She was giving, lovi... ...more
