The reality show, Lovely Ladies of L.A., should have launched Lizzy Apodaca’s catering company into solvency. Instead, when her carefully prepared appetizers mysteriously gave the cast on-camera food poisoning, she lost everything.

To make matters worse, her car breaks down in Salt Box, Colorado, a town not much bigger than a salt shaker. But maybe her luck is changing—the handsome owner of Praeger House, the town’s premier hotel, needs a kitchen assistant.

Clark Denham realizes his diamond in the rough is a polished gem when Lizzy steps up to save the hotel’s breakfast buffet after his temperamental head chef quits. It isn’t long before she’s winning his heart as smoothly and efficiently as she runs his kitchen.

This second offering from the Salt Box series was every bit as sweet and fun and enjoyable as the first. The characters are likeable, the romance was good and the reality TV drama cast a nicely menacing shadow to keep everything ticking along.

Lizzy is a hard worker, the sort who isn’t... ...more

~~I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads ~~

Love in the Morning is the perfect antidote (pun definitely intended) to the first book in this series, Finding Mr. Right Now.

It’s also a lovely reward for having suffered through that first book, but it is not necessary to read the first one in order...

About the author

Meg Benjamin

Meg Benjamin spent twenty-plus years teaching writing and Web design in South Texas before pulling up roots and starting all over again on the Colorado Front Range. Her comic romances are set in the Texas Hill Country and the Colorado Rockies, which has given her the chance to sample some great wine and some wonderful food (research—it’s all research!). Her new Brewing Love series for Entangled has also given her the chance to get some experience with the wonders of Colorado beer (more research, honestly). Although she now lives in the foothills of the Rockies, Meg travels back to Texas regularly to visit her sons and her twin grandchildren. She and her hubs love to travel the back roads of the Rockies and you can find see pics of their adventures on Facebook and Twitter. For more information about Meg’s books, check out her website.
