Fate changer Daisy Layne is nervous about searching Europe for a firstborn son doomed to die on his eighteenth birthday. But she’s the only one who can save him. No pressure or anything. She needs the help of guide Andrei Vasile, who she’s been talking to online for two years. Still, meeting him in person…that’s a whole different story.

Andrei is determined to keep Daisy safe, even if touching her could kill him. At least, that’s what his family has told him about fate changers like Daisy. She’s strong and beautiful, and it’s his job to keep her alive. Unfortunately, what she doesn’t know could kill her.

Save a life. End a curse. And never, ever get too close...

The series does a wonderful job taking a teen romance and intertwining it into an action-packed fantasy series that keeps the pages turning. This is, from what I can see, the third in The Fated Series by Brenda Drake. The Layne sisters each taking up a book. Fated as in powers buried in history and discrimination from secret societies plotting to eliminate them. Daisy must find the first born residing in Europe before he reaches his e... ...more

Daisy focused on saving a life and it wasn’t easy as her own life might be in danger. She was in a plane and skimmed the pages of notes she’d written in the notebook on the tray before her. I adored every book in The Fated Series, and Seeking Fate is no exception!!!! Seeking Fate is told from two perspectives, and each one is gripping. Beautifully written, with a wonderfully described setting (Europe!), great world-building, and a slow burn romance, I couldn't turn the pages fast en... ...more

“‘...Missed opportunities are the biggest regrets we carry in this world.’”*

Like her sisters, Daisy inherited the ability to use tarot cards to change fates, but the gift comes with a cost to her health. Dying slowly sucks, but after banishing a spirit, Daisy’s death becomes fast-tracked. Now, Da... ...more

The story was interesting and I wish the book focused a bit more on that part. There was a lot of traveling and sightseeing info in the book which at times seemed to interrupt the action of the story. I really liked Daisy and Andrei individually and as a couple. It ended well and without a cliffh... ...more

This was a very quick read being less than 200 pages. This was truly an interesting book because it is about three sisters that have a gift or curse where they can change peoples fate. All they have to do is a tarot card reading.
This was a fast paced book I was sad when I finished it so quickly.... ...more

About the author

NY Times Best Selling Author

Brenda Drake

Brenda Drake grew up the youngest of three children, an Air Force brat, and the continual new kid at school. Her fondest memories growing up is of her eccentric, Irish grandmother's animated tales, which gave her a strong love for storytelling. With kids of all ages populating Brenda's world, it was only fitting that she would choose to write stories with a bend toward the fantastical for both younger readers and the young at heart. And because she married her prince charming, there's always a romance warming the pages. Her favorite books are The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis, Kings Row by Henry Bellamann, and Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins. When she's not writing, she hosts workshops and contests for writers such as Pitch Wars and Pitch Madness on her blog, and holds Twitter pitch parties on the hashtag, #PitMad. In her free time, Brenda enjoys hanging out with her family, haunting libraries, bookstores, and coffee shops, or just reading someplace quiet and not at all exotic (much to her disappointment).
