Peek Inside The Descartes Legacy

Lucas Grafton has spent the last ten years hunting the Conclave, a secret organization who took everything from him: his wife, his child, his very identity. Now he has a lead—an imminent terrorist attack on London—code-named Descartes.

Born with a genetic illness, Jenna Young has always known she was different. But the unexpected death of her father catapults her into a world of murder and terrorism she never expected. In order to stay alive, she must solve a twenty-five year old mystery—and her only ally a hard bitter man in search or retribution, her only clue the Descartes Highlands, an area on the near side of the moon.

Luke’s need for revenge collides with Jenna’s hunt for the past, and together they must stand against the Conclave. All the while uncovering the truth behind Jenna’s illness, a truth that will make Jenna question her very humanity.

4.5 - You can't trust anyone. Stars!

I am literally running out of nice things to say about Nina Croft and her books. She is an author that quite simply writes books I want to read, gives me stories that I get lost in, and characters I get involved with whilst learning about them through their a... ...more

I had a chance to read this and Oh My God, what a ride. There's romance, and it has a great mystery. Actually, there are a couple of wonderful twists and turns in this. It has a Dan Brown kind of feel. It's one of my favorite books I've read this year and I can't wait for the next one. And for th... ...more

Thank you, Rob, mysterious partner of Nina. I'm glad you survived her (rightly) rage when you dared to suggest her to write a "good book". I have to say she'a a saint or you are really lucky. I guess any other woman might have robbed you of your life (or at least your family jewels).

Thank you Nin... ...more

This was an enjoyable read. I liked the intrigue right off the bat with Jenna's illness and the antagonist's recognition of her, telling us Jenna was deeply involved in whatever disaster threatened London. Luke is also a likeable, swoon worthy hero with flaws and ghosts of his own, which I love i... ...more

Oh geez. Once again, Entangled gets me. For a baby publisher like Entangled, they certainly get some of the best books. I’m so in love with this company. And their covers totally rock. Yet again, another cover I can love on. So to speak.

Anyway, now on to the book. At first I wasn’t sure what to t... ...more

At the end of The Descartes Legacy Nina Croft tells how this book came to be. It seems that one morning at breakfast Bob, her other half, asked her why she didn’t write a good book? She says; “He survived (just) and I discovered his idea of a “good book” was one with no romance, no vampires, were... ...more

Descartes Legacy by Nina Croft should come with a warning label, “Once started, no housework will be done and you will miss sleep to finish!” That is exactly what happened to me. Nina Croft

Nina Croft grew up in the north of England. After training as an accountant, she spent four years working as a volunteer in Zambia, which left her with a love of the sun and a dislike of nine-to-five work. She then spent a number of years mixing travel (whenever possible) with work (whenever necessary) but has now settled down to a life of writing and picking almonds on a remote farm in the mountains of southern Spain.
