Disclaimer: This Entangled Teen Crush book contains one fake Facebook profile, two best friends who secretly crave each other, and a dreaded sex talk with parents…boy crush in the room included. Pushing a relationship beyond the friend zone has never been so crazy…

Emma has been best friends with Eli since she moved to his neighborhood ten years ago. Tired of being cast in the role of the girl next door, Emma creates a fake Facebook profile in the hopes of starting an online friendship with Eli, which would hopefully lead to more. Like...way more. From friend request to In a Relationship--it all seemed so completely logical when she'd planned it.

Eli can't figure out what Emma is up to. He’s pretty sure she's the one behind the Facebook profile, but then again, why would she do something so drastic instead of just admitting she wants to be more than friends? And who the heck is this new guy he saw her with? Eli starts to think that just maybe...he missed his chance with the girl next door.

Two best friends, one outlandish ruse. Their status is about to become way more than It’s Complicated...

Review

FIVE STARS  "This book was so perfectly adorable but I wanted to slap and hug the characters at the same time! This book is definitely among my top favourites, I was smiling like an idiot after I finished reading this." -Poulami Gosch , Daydreaming Books

FOUR STARS "The beauty of young romance - it's a clean, sweet, romance that would make you want to scream in frustration at some points, and yet would make your heart warm in the innocence and complications of young love." - ChuCha, Reviews of a Book Maniac

FOUR STARS "This was a wonderful read for a younger YA crowd and teens alike. I think adults will enjoy it, as well, as long as you're being realistic about these being teen characters. I would definitely try another book by this author." - My Crazy Bookish Life

FOUR STARS "The Girlfriend Request was about a girl getting that guy that she had been in love with since she moved in next door, a typical girl meets boy story that focused on the everyday issues of this particular teenager. While it's good to have a bang at the climax of the story, having the incredibly realistic aspect of the book was refreshing and unique, in a strange way. " - Moriah, A Leisure Moment

FOUR STARS "This was a very cute story [...] A series of misunderstandings and poor decisions causes turmoil and threatens to tear their friendship apart. Will the truth be revealed and happiness ensue? You will have to read the story to find out." - Jeremy Reppy

FOUR STARS "Seriously, it's one of those "never happens in real life" stories except Emma got every single one of those cute things we all wish would happen to us. Granted, it wasn't easy for her to get to those cute scenes, and she brought the drama on herself, but snap it was adorable!" -K.M. Robinson, Reading Transforms

FOUR STARS
"THE GIRLFRIEND REQUEST is a story about a girl who can't manage to work up the courage to tell her best friend that she loves him. As everything goes wrong in her plan to tell him without actually telling him, a beautiful story about loving and forgiving is woven." - Brett Jonas, Book Squirt

I liked this book a lot! I liked Emma and Eli and I was so happy that they ended up together and the ending was the best. I felt bad for Jake because he was kind of dragged along by her. I thought that part was kind of extra. I thought the character Emma could be really annoying at times but I ge... ...more

Good read

It was a good read. I wish I could give it a 5 star but I've got to vent on why I did a 4. the most annoying thing is how the author dragged everything on and even threw in Jake into the mix to make things more confusing and make a bigger mess of the situation. As if things weren't...

Sometimes I get those days wherein I couldn’t do anything productive. Having read Illuminae, I was stuck in a reading slump so while I was stuck in traffic on my way to Uni, I decided to read this book and I was really hooked. I finished it on the bus, yep while it was moving. Haha!

I'm a sucker for these friends turned lovers tropes. <3
Only thing that bugs me is that the girl has got curly hair. It's mentioned so many times, it's practically a plot point.
And who do they have on the cover?
A girl with straight hair.
WHY.

I blew through this one. A quick and easy read.

A very interesting theory for a storyline. With so much of the world engrossed in social media these days, its a very relevant topic. The fact that Emma created an onl... ...more
