Bad boy, meet bad girl.
Dante has a shiny new cuff wrapped around his ankle, and he doesn’t like that mess one bit. His new accessory comes straight from Big Guy himself and marks the former demon as a liberator. Despite his gritty past and bad boy ways, Dante Walker has been granted a second chance.
When Dante is given his first mission as a liberator to save the soul of seventeen-year-old Aspen, he knows he’s got this. But Aspen reminds him of the rebellious life he used to live and is making it difficult to resist sinful temptations. Though Dante is committed to living clean for his girlfriend Charlie, this dude’s been a playboy for far too long…and old demons die hard.
With Charlie becoming the girl she was never able to be pre-makeover and Aspen showing him how delicious it feels to embrace his inner beast, Dante will have to go somewhere he never thought he’d return to in order to accomplish the impossible: save the girl he’s been assigned to, and keep the girl he loves.
"Dante is the kind of guy I wish I'd met when I was seventeen. And the kind of guy I'd kill if my daughter brought him home." -Mary Lindsey, author of SHATTERED SOULS
“Dante isn't just your run-of-the-mill YA bad boy...he's a villain. [And] you can't take your eyes off him because he's hot, witty, and just fascinating. And all the while you'll be thinking, I can't wait to see this boy's world get rocked.” ―Wendy Higgins, author of SWEET EVIL on The Collector
“Left me breathless at every turn with its sizzling anti-hero, unlikely heroine, and the epic romance that unfolds between them.” ―Mindee Arnett, author of THE NIGHTMARE AFFAIR on The Collector
“Victoria Scott is a fabulous new voice in YA.” ―C.C. Hunter, author of the New York Times bestselling series, SHADOW FALLS on The Collector
Gotta' give D-Dub 5-stars. Even though he's probably even less well-behaved in this book. He does his best, though. Kind of. For a demon. *sighs* ...more
The Liberator is book two in the Dante Walker series by Victoria Scott. I have decided that anything Victoria Scott writes is going to be fabulous. As is this book.
The Liberator starts right up where The Collector left off. Dante Walker believes he is bad, that he is not worthy of redemption. Bu... ...more
Oh, Dante! ← Is that getting old yet?
I cannot deny my Dante love. Just can’t do it.
With that said, I’m confused about how I feel about this book. Was I completely blown away? Well… no. Was I disappointed? Hmm… not exactly. I still liked it, I still love Dante, it still made me laugh, but it just... ...more
If my dear Dante steps out of line, I will personally find him and will injure him.

Dante is on the good side but he really doesn't know how to be an angel/liberator. He still feels like a demon and enjoys partying like one too. He is given a mission to liberate Aspen and he must or someone else can take his job. It is too easy for him to fall into his old ways with Aspen. She i... ...more

Loved almost every part of this book until the ending. That ending made The Liberator pointless.

POW! Dante is flippin' back ya'll! Woooo! I missed him so. I don't really even know where to start! It's always difficult to write reviews for sequels because we definitely don't want any spoilers. Ok! Let's just do this. Dante would kick my butt for beating around the bush.

I'm no angel. Never have been, never will be. I'm just bad, baby. Maybe because of the way I was raised, or maybe it's good old-fashioned genetics.
Or maybe it's because deep down, I like the way being bad feels. Pow!
Victoria Scott has definitely achieved it. She has achieved what I suspect al... ...more

The Liberator took off right where The Collector ended. I wasn't the biggest fan of the first book in the Dante Walker series, but this sequel right here was an improvement to the first book, because the characters were more profound and the haze surrou... ...more
Victoria Scott has a natural aptitude for creating staggering stories and characters. I fell in love with Dangerous Dante in The Collector, but after reading The Liberator…well, let’s just say that I am even more amazed, and will be first in line when The Warrior becomes available. Dante believes it’s his duty to protect Charlie. So, when he’s being assigned to save the soul of another girl miles away, he is not happy with the arrangement. Whoa guys! This was fantastic! I loved the first book and was dying to read this one, and it totally lived up to my expectations. Dante may be working for the Big Guy upstairs now, but that didn't change his arrogant and snarky attitude at all. I loved that he was still h... ...more
I think my biggest question upon finishing The Collector was, how is hedonistic-to-the-max Dante going to handle working for Heaven? Can he find it within himself renounce his life of sin, earn his halo and walk the straight ‘n narrow? ‘Cause I seriously doubt it. Turns out this is homeboy’s b... ...more

Dante's character took a little getting used to in The Collector . But I grew to love his swagger and his self-absorbed ways. And he showed tremendous character growth in the first book.
