Ivy Westfall is beyond the fence and she is alone.
Abandoned by her family and separated from Bishop Lattimer, Ivy must find a way to survive on her own in a land filled with countless dangers, both human and natural. She has traded a more civilized type of cruelty-forced marriages and murder plots-for the bare-knuckled brutality required to survive outside Westfall’s borders.
But there is hope beyond the fence, as well. And when Bishop reappears in Ivy’s life, she must decide if returning to Westfall to take a final stand for what she believes is right is worth losing everything she’s fought for.
“Thought-provoking, poignant, and sexy! Readers will burn the midnight oil to finish The Book of Ivy and fall asleep with the name Bishop Lattimer on their lips.” ―Regina at Mel, Erin, and Regina Read-A-Lot on The Book of Ivy
“The Book of Ivy has every ingredient you look for in an epic novel: from the spine-tingling plot and exhilarating characters, to every entrancing word penned by Amy Engel.” ―Kris at Insightful Minds Reviews on The Book of Ivy
“I enjoyed this novel so much that I polished it off in two sittings. There is no insta-love! There is no love triangle! Best of all, the protagonist actually has common sense, and she uses it! The slow-to-develop relationship is believable, and both Ivy and Bishop are easy to relate to. Waiting anxiously for Book 2!” ―Julie at Magna Maniac Café on The Book of Ivy
“With her debut, Amy Engel has pulled off one of the best dystopian romances that I have ever read. It was impossible to put down.” ―Kayla at Bibliophilia, Please on The Book of Ivy
Perffffffffffect. I honestly don't know how Engel do it. I can't wait for more from her.

After the devastating end of The Book of Ivy I didn’t think I would survive The Revolution of Ivy. I mean, I obviously wanted to read it but my god- Angel knows how to make a girl lose all hope and leave you a mess with just a few sentences. In order to remain a little of my dignity I decided to... ...more

*Spoilers for book 1 (The Book of Ivy) in the series.*
I wasn't sure WHAT to expect after The Book of Ivy ended with our poor Ivy exiled to outside the fence. I was 1) terrified of the gross and awful rapist guy 2) terrified of the gross and awful rapist guy. That s... ...more
Si pour moi, le livre aurait mérité d'être plus équilibré dans l'action, c'était une belle conclusion.
Pas mal de larmes versées et un Bishop incroyable qui donne de faux espoirs sur les mecs dans la vraie vie... XD ...more

Now THIS is how you end a duology. I've finally discovered a dystopia without the usual tropes and annoyances. Whenever I read Amy's books I feel like I'm catapulted into that world, I'm fully immeshed in everything that's going on, and it's bliss. The characters are so strong and likable, the ro... ...more
The sequel to The Book of Ivy was awesome. I loved it. Full of action, suspense, betrayal and second chances, it was a perfect ending and an expected one, to this wonderful dystopian story.

"…no revolutions are won without sacrifices… I've lost so much, but I've gained something, too. Life beyond the fence is transforming me. Not into a new person, but back into the girl I've always been underneath all the layers… built on top of me. Slowly, I am finding mys... ...more

The Revolution of Ivy is one sequel I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this year. We were left with a horrible cliffhanger at the end of the first book, with Ivy separated from Bishop – him believing she never loved him – and banished from her home. She’s trading in a life of forced marriages and... ...more
It was amazing. A true 5-star read as Goodreads terms it.
There are so many things Engel did right here, especially when compared to other books that conclude a duology or trilogy. At some points in the story I kept waiting for disaster to strike - and it did, but not so catastrophically that the... ...more
I liked his sequel slightly less than the first book. This is mostly due in part to how long it took for Ivy and Bishop to finally COMMUNICATE once they were reunited. I get Ivy's rationale, but that doesn't mean it wasn't completely frustrating. I mean, I looked down at my phone and realized I o... ...more
